Belarus revolution: The Protest Bride

Summer 2020. On the streets of Minsk, the capital of Belarus, thousands and thousands are protesting against the rigged elections which ‘re-elected’ Alexander Lukashenko, “Europe’s last dictator”.

Ina Zaitsava, was one of them, though with a twist: she was wearing a white wedding dress with red paint, the colours of Belarus. She lives now in Poland, in exil.

For this story, Sphera teamed up with @NashaNivaNews, an independent Belarus media now based in Lithuania. “The Protest Bride” is the second episodes of our series ‘Stories Breaking Borders’.
