About Artificial Intelligence and Freedom. With György Tilesch

In this episode, we talk to György Tilesch, president of PHI Institute, AI expert and lawyer by the University of Pécs. He touches base on how to empower humans through AI to be more effective as a society, though in a safe way that also protects individual freedom. The question is: do we genuinely take the decisions we make entirely by ourselves or are we influenced by external factors? This is one of the topics of this podcast, where we discuss how the unprecedented speed at which technology evolution is occurring is affecting our daily lives, and sometimes, putting a damper on our freedom.

I never asked why my grandmother Mercedes speaks Russian, German, French and Spanish perfectly. Perhaps because I sensed that this why was marked by a delicate history… A history of childhoods without parents. A story of farewells, of reunions, of escapes and persecutions. A story marked by the history of 20th century Europe: the Spanish Civil War, the Second World War, and the Cold War. I never asked why. But now… I need to break that wall. I need to understand which parts of those wars, of those untold stories, still live in me. Join me on this journey through the past to understand where we came from, who we are, and where we are heading.
