School should be a place for equal opportunities. But is it?

School is supposed to be a space where talent, perseverance and hard work are the things that count. Increasingly, however, the reality is different.

Today, the education system is becoming a race against the odds, a space where inequality thrives. Children from poorer families have limited access to extra-curricular activities, tutoring or psychological support. Others have a quiet study room at home, help from their parents and private tutoring.

In Poland, more and more people are opting for private schools in 2022, with more than 6% of children enrolled in them, more than twice as many as in the previous decade. In cities, the figures are even higher.

‪@KrytykaPolitycznaTV‬ decided to investigate the causes and consequences of this inequality.
