Sphera Media Lab – Independent effect is a impactful one-day event dedicated to exploring how independent media strengthens the public sphere and upholds democratic values across Europe. This pivotal gathering is a platform for connection, idea exchange, and collaboration, underscoring the essential role of independent media in today’s world.
The 2025 edition will focus on the urgent challenges reshaping the media landscape. We aim to elevate the voices of a new generation of media professionals, sparking a bold, alternative vision for the future of the industry. Discussions will address pressing topics like the climate crisis, gender equality, inclusion, and decentralised technologies, exploring their impact on the future of independent media.
The event will host 40 speakers who will engage in panel discussions, workshops, radio programmes and networking sessions.
Sphera Media Lab empowers independent media across Europe by connecting local organizations and like-minded media outlets. Supported by Arty Farty and the Sphera Network, this initiative celebrates diversity and fosters an inclusive space for varied perspectives.
