Every year, the Sphera Media Lab, co-organised by Sphera and European Lab, is where the network’s spirit of cooperation takes shape: a space to break isolation through cross-border collaboration, build community around shared resources and models, and stand together against the pressures on press freedom.

This year, on December 3rd, at La Vallée in Brussels, media from across Europe will come together around three fronts: technological, editorial and economic independence.

During the day, join talks, masterclasses and workshops to build concrete ideas and solutions to put into practice together, across our newsrooms and media.

These exchanges continue into the evening, dedicated to press freedom and the right to inform. You’ll be able to attend the premiere screening of Sphera’s documentary on the attacks and threats facing journalists’ work in Europe today.

This year, we want to hear your experiences and discover new expertise. Are you a media outlet, an organisation, a researcher or a professional who feels concerned by this edition’s topics? Answer our open call before August 31st via this form!

It’s open to you wherever you are in the world, as long as your proposal is aligned with our themes and carries a European outlook.

You can propose one of these two formats:

• Masterclass, to share practical, actionable advice and recommendations.
• Keynote, an inspiring intervention built around a concrete case study.
