Anafi Film Festival: bringing the Barren Line Back to life

Anafi, one of the most remote islands in the Cyclades, now has its own film festival.

@popagandagr has followed the people behind the festival and its ‘Show Me Your Place’ programme — a documentary workshop designed to help the local community tell their own stories in their own language. It is a way for the festival to build a relationship with the place that hosts it without one overshadowing the other. It’s a story about cinema, community, and what culture can look like in the remote peripheries of Greece.

This video is part of our monthly “Periphery” series.
