Him is a multidisciplinary artist originally from Hong Kong, now living in Athens. In this video, he recounts his personal and creative journey, from a childhood influenced by Japanese manga and anime, to searching for an artistic style he describes as “immature”.
After living in London, Hin arrived in Greece by chance and decided to stay. Athens reminds him of old Hong Kong — a city built on human relationships and a slower pace of life than in large metropolises.
@Popagandagr met with Hin to discuss what it means to always feel slightly “alien”, how everyday experiences inspire his art, and whether it is possible to make a living as an artist today.
