Extinction Rebellion: a Global Front Against Climate Change

On a grey day in London, the outside of the InterContinental Hotel on Park Lane buzzed with activity. The hotel was hosting the Energy Intelligence Forum, pulling together the luminaries of the fossil fuel industry and governmental figures. Their conference was met with significant opposition: hundreds, including Greta Thunberg, congregated in protest.

However, London isn’t the only city witnessing a surge in climate activism. Hundreds of miles away, in Warsaw, the Extinction Rebellion (XR) has been making its presence felt. Their message: the fight against climate change is borderless, and the call for action is a global chorus. How does the global fight for climate justice unfold? What drives those groups?
