In 2021, abortion is still prohibited in Malta

Conquering the right to legal, safe and free abortion is one of the main objectives of the feminist movement around the world. In Europe, 95% of women of reproductive age live in countries that allow abortion on demand or for broad social reasons. However, there are still states where access to this procedure is very restrictively legislated or even totally prohibited. The latter is the case in Malta.
